Job Summary
The Operations Supervisor supports shift-level management by assisting the Operations Manager and senior roles in directing operations and personnel, coordinating technicians, customer service staff, and service employees to meet labor, safety, quality, and asset targets, and ensuring location performance against metrics. The role includes planning, scheduling, work analysis, expense and performance oversight, back-up coverage across functions, adherence to Ryder maintenance policies, and potential development toward an Operations Manager role. Responsibilities emphasize workflow management, labor management, customer management, asset management, quality inspections, safety/compliance, and cross-functional training; required focus areas include supervising personnel, maintaining vehicle uptime, managing shop processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED required
- Associate's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required (substitution rules may apply)
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required (substitution rules may apply)
- Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop environment required
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with a Shop Management System preferred
- Microsoft Office intermediate preferred
- DOT Regulated No
