Job Summary
Operations Supervisor at United Rentals leads and coordinates delivery of quality service to maximize branch productivity, supports the Branch Manager to achieve financial objectives, drives branch metrics, coaches staff, and ensures safety and compliance while handling sales and customer service activities including quotations, reservations, and contracts. Responsibilities include monitoring scorecard metrics, identifying root causes and opportunities for improvement, training staff on Rental Flow processes, controlling costs, and promoting a culture of safety and discipline. The role requires supervising and coaching personnel, opening/closing duties, cash handling, and contributing to profitability through efficient operations and world-class service.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of sales and operational experience
- 2+ years supervision and leadership experience
- Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry or related
- Strong motivational and leadership skills
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable record
