Job Summary
Operations Supervisor responsible for hands-on operational leadership across the Building Control Centre, life-safety systems, and building operations at Commerce Court. Oversees BCC performance, Fire & Life Safety, response to alarms and service requests, preventative/reactive maintenance, and coordination with internal teams and third-party providers. Maintains energy data, supports safety programs, environmental reporting, tenant improvements, inspections related to risk and regulatory compliance, and contributes to lifecycle costing, budget planning and capital projects for large multi-tenant campus. Requires 5+ years in commercial high-rise building operations and appropriate license/certification credentials; role emphasizes leadership, data accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, facilities, and risk stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer Technical Certificate (C.Tech. or A.ScT.) or Journeyman Tradesperson (Electrician, Plumber, Refrigeration) or FMA / RPA + BOMI SMA / SMT is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years direct work experience in commercial high rise (Class A) building operations
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong leadership, supervisory, mentoring and coaching skills
