Job Summary
Operations Supervisor responsible for recruiting, screening, hiring and orienting field staff; evaluating, coaching and disciplining field staff; developing staffing master schedules, call-ins/fill-ins, and tracking payroll per policy; resolving field crew pay/benefits questions; supervising base/station inventory and equipment; coordinating fleet maintenance and vendor activities; ensuring field staff maintain required certifications/licensure and deliver high-quality patient service; assisting with protocol compliance, training, and documentation; ensuring regulatory compliance (local/state/federal, including controlled substances and contracts); leading and coordinating emergency and non-emergency operations; overseeing public relations and community education programs; and maintaining privacy and security of patient information, with EMT requirements as a minimum credential and leadership responsibilities across the operation.
Required Qualifications
- EMT certification (Current EMT Certification Preferred but Optional)
- Ability to function as a leader evaluating, coaching, training and directing field staff
- Experience supervising field crews and coordinating payroll
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance for local, state, federal rules (controlled substances, contracts, ordinances)
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, screen, hire and orient field staff
- Ability to develop staffing master schedule and respond to call-ins/fill-ins
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with patients and providers
- Ability to manage inventory, equipment, and supplies for medical, office, and shop environments
- Experience with fleet maintenance oversight and vendor coordination
- Safety and security of facilities, vehicles, and company property
- Ability to perform daily base/station inspections and housekeeping duties
- Willingness to assume responsibility for EMS certifications recertification
- Ability to work across multiple departments (Operations, Medical Director, Quality Improvement, Billing)
