Job Summary
Lead a team of Production & Materials Coordinators supporting operations at Leavenworth's production center, ensuring raw materials availability, inventory accuracy, and execution readiness. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles, PDCA, and root cause analysis to eliminate waste and optimize operational performance. Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to define project objectives, manage timelines, and implement sustainable solutions that enhance cost, service, quality, and productivity. Utilize operational data to develop reporting tools and dashboards that improve visibility and support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years supervising direct reports
- Associate's degree or higher in related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering or production operations
- Experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Experience managing production planning, materials management, inventory control, or supply chain processes
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects from concept through implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, dashboards, and reporting
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and reporting tools
- Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PDCA, A3, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead change across multiple departments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting recommendations to leadership
- Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing sustainable solutions
- Familiarity with Lean principles
