Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the Nutrition and Food Services department, coordinating meal preparation, assembly, and delivery to patients and cafeteria customers. Ensure timely production adhering to recipes and portion control while maintaining strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits for regulatory and accrediting agency requirements. Recruit, train, and supervise food service staff, addressing customer inquiries and feedback promptly. Assist in developing and managing the department's budget to support cost-effective operations. This role is based onsite at 2014 Washington Street with a 40-hour day shift. Mass General Brigham supports patient care, research, teaching, and community service as a not-for-profit system.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years Food Service Experience
- 3-5 years Management Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Foodservice Management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Knowledge of nutrition principles
- Knowledge of dietary requirements for various patient populations
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific dietary requirements
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets
- Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams with varied experiences and viewpoints
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to oversee food service operations efficiently
- Budgeting and financial management skills to support departmental operations within allocated resources
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific dietary requirements and therapeutic diets is advantageous
