Job Summary
Oversees recruitment, screening, hiring and orienting all field EMS staff; evaluates, coaches and disciplines field staff; develops and staffs master schedule (including call in/fill in); tracks and submits payroll per policy; resolves field crew questions on pay/benefits; supervises inventory and vendor/fleet staff for maintenance and supplies; ensures field staff maintain appropriate certification/licensure; maintains high customer service with patients and public; supports compliance with regulations governing controlled substances, HIPAA, and quality improvement; assists with protocol training and field documentation; leads, supports and documents training and performance for field crews and operations; must hold EMT certification and demonstrate leadership, coaching and communication skills; readiness for emergency/non-emergency incidents and participation in community education programs.
Required Qualifications
- All EMT requirements (Current EMT Certification Preferred but Optional)
- All EMT Field Supervisor requirements (Current EMT Certification Preferred but Optional).
- Must have the ability function as a leader evaluating, coaching, training and directing field staff.
