Job Summary
Operations Supervisor in Indianapolis responsible for leading EMS patient transport operations, training lower-level personnel, ensuring timely payroll documentation, overseeing adherence to policies, documenting EMS charts, maintaining equipment and station upkeep, supervising staff, and providing direct patient care within scope of practice. Must have CPR, driver’s license, and EMT/Paramedic license with state certification or NREMT with reciprocity; ACLS/ALS certification recommended for paramedics. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, ability to manage high-stress situations, and ability to mentor teams are required. Competitive benefits package offered.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- ACLS (AHA) or ALS (American Red Cross) certification recommended – Paramedics and CCP only
- Current position specific state certification or a NREMT specific certification with ability to obtain reciprocity is required prior to start date
- Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
- Possess good verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle adverse situations effectively
- Must have the ability to effectively interact and communicate with patients, co-workers and administration
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams while fostering accountability
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, written, oral or diagnostic reports
- Certified EMT/Paramedic License for your state of employment
