Job Summary
Lead day-to-day operations for the McKesson Distribution Centre evening shift, supervising receiving, verification, storage, processing, and delivery while ensuring compliance with GMP and SOP standards. Drive operational excellence by meeting productivity and quality KPIs, monitoring performance data, and implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement. Assign responsibilities to optimize workflow, conduct performance reviews for direct reports, and support development plans aligned with department goals. Monitor health and safety practices through regular audits, manage labor relations issues, and coordinate workforce planning and training initiatives. Support Lean and Six Sigma efforts to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness across the distribution centre.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management preferred
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Supervisor/Management role
- Experience in a unionized environment
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership and operational execution
- Familiarity with labour relations in a unionized environment
- A strong understanding and experience in employee engagement practices
- Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Principles and process improvement methodologies
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to take initiative and work with a sense of urgency
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Flexible schedule availability
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
