Operations Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise receipt and shipment of materials, supplies, and products while leading, training, and developing hourly team members to validate and ship items accurately. Create daily receiving and shipping schedules, develop work group standards to improve productivity, and resolve time-sensitive issues for expedited shipments. Verify shipped materials against documentation, conduct audits for replenishment compliance, and investigate location discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy. Operate forklifts, manage inventory supplies, coordinate facility transfers, and ensure a safe work environment aligned with OSHA and 5S standards. Collaborate with management on hiring, discipline, and performance evaluations while resolving employee conflicts. Requires 4–6 years of distribution experience, forklift certification, and proficiency in warehouse management systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 4 – 6 years experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment, including 1 – 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Certification in forklift or willingness to obtain certification
- HAZMAT Certification or ability to become certified
- Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems (WMS), and JDE systems
- Knowledge of inventory management, planning, and supply chain functions
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities based on management and customer requirements
- Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume work environment
- Proactive “self-starter” with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid Driver's License
