Job Summary
Operations Supervisor at a New Kensington, PA facility leading and coordinating department leads across surface grinding, Wire EDM, CEDM, and Machining. Responsible for planning daily activities with Production Scheduler, developing standard work instructions, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency, driving continuous improvement with lean tools, conducting root-cause analyses, and collaborating with internal/external customers and suppliers. Requires blueprint reading, metalworking, CAD/CAM familiarity, strong communication, and the ability to manage resources, motivate a team, and deliver on customer lead times. Base salary is determined case-by-case based on experience and skills; position located at New Kensington, PA with full-time schedule and benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and tuition reimbursement. Proficiency in English, ability to read/write, and willingness to pursue additional training as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Five years’ working experience in similar work environment.
- Blueprint reading, metalworking, drafting classes.
- Desire to take classes as needed to gain additional skills needed to succeed in tool and die manufacturing.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
- Ability to use common tools.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Possess strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to multitask when required to operate multiple machines when required.
- Ability to push a minimum of 100 pounds; ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Standing, walking, bending, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, laying horizontally, and climbing.
