Job Summary
Lead a job-shop operations team to ensure safe, efficient shop operations and achievement of budgeted targets. Direct shop mechanics, assemblers and technicians; develop objectives, monitor expenditures, recruit/train staff, and oversee contractors/subcontractors for maintenance/repair. Collaborate with sales to align customer requirements with business goals; drive revenue, utilization, and profitability targets while upholding safety and environmental health standards. Requires leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects; experience in general operations or machine shop management and familiarity with SAP are highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 7 years of experience in a support or field engineering role
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role, with 2-5 years of experience in General Operations Support, Machine Shop Management, or Operations Management
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to influence others, lead small teams, and identify individual strengths to maximize team performance
- SAP experience strongly preferred
