Operations Supervisor - Columbus

Job Summary

Conduct direct patient care during pre-hospital and inter-facility transports, perform equipment checks, and manage station upkeep. Lead and guide lower-level personnel, screen candidates via the Applicant Tracking System, and ensure adherence to field policies and protocols. Safely operate emergency vehicles, provide lift assist, and administer first aid to coworkers when necessary. Submit timely payroll documentation and maintain accurate EMS charts, including PCRs and inventory records. Maintain professional interactions with patients, including those with disabilities, and attend required continuing education sessions. This role supports MMT Ambulance's mission of efficient, reliable interfacility ambulance transportation for healthcare partners using AI-powered technology and a fleet of 500+ vehicles.

Required Qualifications

  • Current CPR
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Current position specific state certification or a NREMT specific certification with ability to obtain reciprocity is required prior to start date
  • Certified EMT/Paramedic License for your state of employment
  • Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
  • Possess good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle adverse situations effectively
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact and communicate with patients, co-workers and administration
  • Strong time management and prioritization abilities
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams while fostering accountability
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, written, oral or diagnostic reports
  • Must be physically capable of operating various vehicles and equipment essential to the job duties of an EMS provider
  • Requires frequent bending, sitting, kneeling, moving, and lifting patients and equipment weighing at least 125 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull objects exceeding 50 pounds
  • Must be able to drive/ ride in an ambulance for extended periods of time without issue
  • Physical agility is essential to lift and move patients safely
  • Must be able to administer first aid to injured coworkers when necessary

Desired Qualifications

  • ACLS (AHA) or ALS (American Red Cross) certification recommended – *Paramedics and CCP only
