Job Summary
Supervise large-scale projects affecting workflow and case determinations by assessing staffing needs, directing Group Supervisors, and maintaining continuous communication among team members. Establish qualitative work standards by reviewing caseloads and case accuracy, then organize work to meet tight deadlines while recommending system enhancements to improve activities. Rate and evaluate subordinate performance, hold disciplinary conferences, and monitor attendance to ensure adherence to time and leave regulations. This Principal Administrative Associate II role supports the Family Independence Administration's Office of Central Processing, which centrally processes forms for entities including NYCHA, DRS, utility companies, and the Social Security Administration to assist participants in reaching financial independence.
Required Qualifications
- Permanent in the Principal Administrative Associate Civil Service Title
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- Three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
- One year of administrative or supervisory experience
- An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college
- Four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
- Five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
- One year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in item 1
- Education and/or experience equivalent to items 1, 2, or 3 above
