Job Summary
Oversee operations for your designated section of the terminal dock, including loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight. Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule, utilizing independent judgment to build loads based on available labor and freight levels. Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring cube and weight, while maintaining a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards. Monitor dock production, hours, and overtime to ensure facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met. Shift: 5:30pm - 3:30am, Monday - Friday. Salary: $60,000-$75,000 + up to 10% in bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment
- Strong leadership qualities
- High aptitude for technology
- The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An Associates or Bachelor's Degree
