Job Summary
Operations Supervisor – Transfer Station: Oversee daily transfer station operations, supervise staff, ensure compliance with company, county, and regulatory standards, manage site paperwork, inspections, and reporting; partner with Transfer Station Manager to improve site production, efficiency, and safety; support recycling initiatives and sustainability goals. Hands-on leadership aimed at safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility within Athens Services’ transfer facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 5 years’ experience working in the waste industry and possess basic supervisory skills
- Advanced working knowledge of transfer station operations including loading of trash, compaction, and basic equipment background
- Valid Class A license
- Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills
- Basic First Aid/CPR and 8 hour Hazwoper Certification
