Job Summary
Lead and promote a strong safety culture by driving compliance with behavioral and process safety standards, conducting safety audits, and ensuring corrective actions are completed. Provide leadership and direction to the Unit Manufacturing Team, establishing priorities, achieving operational goals, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative work environment. Oversee day-to-day unit operations, including production performance, maintenance coordination, outage management, staffing, troubleshooting, and operational decision-making to ensure safe and reliable plant performance. Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize work, resolve operational issues, support turnaround activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor unit performance, budgets, and key operational metrics while serving as a key site operations representative for major incident investigations and emergency response teams. Requires 7 years of operations experience in petrochemical or refining plants.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years Operations experience
- Petrochemical or refining plant experience
- Operations Leadership experience (i.e. Maintenance Coordinator, Team Leader, Night Superintendent/Shift Manager, Shift Supervisor, Foreman, etc.)
- ERT / IMT Qualified (willingness to join IMT if not already assigned.)
- The ability to routinely climb stairs & ladders that can exceed 200 feet in total span with break decks
- The ability to put on respirators and other important safety equipment
- Working outside 30% of time in temperature extremes and noisy environments
