Job Summary
Maximise equipment utilisation through coaching on safe and efficient operation, proper daily inspections, and corrective action to prevent incidents. Monitor and coordinate equipment use to ensure optimal performance, while directly controlling and optimising production processes to meet specifications and targets. Lead, coordinate, supervise, and coach production teams including supervisors and crews on 12-hour shifts to achieve targets, ensuring compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health, and safety standards. Manage shift handovers with thorough reporting and planning to minimise operational impact, and develop contingency plans to maintain production levels. Report to the Huntly Production Manager and collaborate with other Superintendents to enhance safety and production within the area.
Required Qualifications
- Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership position or have worked in a similar operation or industry to Alcoa
- Relevant surface mining experience with heavy mobile equipment
- relevant degree qualification
