Job Summary
Contract Summer Student – Operations (Parks) responsible for park maintenance duties including turf maintenance, horticulture planting and maintenance, garbage collection and other park beatification. Follows a schedule to provide routine service to parks and open spaces. Operates riding mowers and landscaping related equipment in accordance with industry standards. Represents the Town of Milton in a professional manner and works as part of a team. Complies with health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with Department objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary school
- Documentation/proof of registration as a current full-time student must accompany the application
- Minimum G2 license is required
- Current Standard First Aid Certificate/CPR and WHMIS is considered an asset
