Operations Specialist - Security Master File (SMF)

Job Summary
Conduct timely and accurate security master set-ups for internal clients by populating the firm's Custody and Fund Accounting systems with verified descriptive security information. Verify and amend established security master files on Master Record databases while managing daily volume and validating market identifiers across multiple vendors. Perform quality control by ensuring all system data matches vendor information, reviewing pending queues, and resolving conflicting data through research with Bloomberg, ICE, DTCC, and Euroclear. Liaise with internal clients on security inquiries and escalate complex problem items as needed.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated PC skills
- Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve problems
- Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently and meet deadlines
- Motivated, detail-oriented, organized, proactive
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, team environment
- Experience with the following vendors/depositories: Bloomberg, ICE, DTCC, Euroclear
- Experience with Microsoft Office
