Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Oversee complex, exception-based processes to validate system performance against design specifications, run and analyze reports to resolve exceptions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm policy requirements. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, research and resolve issues, escalate to management as needed, and identify and implement process enhancements and system modifications to reduce operational risk and increase efficiency. Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of new systems and operational processes. Train, mentor, and support less experienced Operations team members to foster skill development and consistency. Provide accurate analysis and processing support for manual, exception-based, and highly specialized operational tasks, and ensure precise data entry and recording into systems in compliance with regulatory requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree from an accredited university OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job specific industry experience
- 1+ year prior securities, banking, technology industry and/or job specific related industry
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel and Access with the ability to build reports and queries; working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and retrieval
- Ability to effectively train, lead and provide work direction to others
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Maintain forward-thinking approaches to identify process improvements and implement automation or enhanced workflows
