Job Summary
Conduct rating and premium calculation for Commercial Auto Non-Trucking Liability, Auto Physical Damage, and Workers Compensation lines. Perform endorsement quality control, complete state filings, and support policy setup, binding, and issuance activities. Review policy data for accuracy, process cancellations and non-renewals, and assist with renewal workflows. Work closely with the underwriting team on new and renewal business while handling ad hoc operational assignments. Communicate with agents and brokers regarding rating and policy processing matters. This hybrid role is based in the greater Hartford/Glastonbury, CT area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 2 to 4 years' of equivalent work experience or completion of an internship
- Commercial Auto and/or Auto Liability rating experience
- Commercial Lines Rating Experience: WC, NTL, PD, Auto, GL, Pkg, Admitted & Non Admitted
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools – Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
- Strong demonstration of problem solving and analytical skills
- A customer focused mentality
- Strong analytical skills
- High degree of organization to prioritize work and follow up on issues
- Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F's risk management controls
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 2 to 4 years' of equivalent work experience or completion of an internship preferred
- Commercial Auto and/or Auto Liability rating experience strongly preferred
