Operations Specialist I - Dividend and Bond Payments

Job Summary
Execute oversight activities to validate system processes and run reports to resolve exceptions while adhering to regulatory and firm policy requirements. Review, verify, and record data into technology systems supporting manual, exception-based, and highly specialized dividend and bond payment processes. Liaise with internal and external customers to provide research, problem resolution, and information support, addressing escalated questions independently. Suggest process changes and system modifications to reduce risk or increase efficiencies, and participate in testing and implementation of new systems. Train team members and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of job-related experience
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment while working both independently and within a team environment
- Advanced customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
- Effective problem identification, analytical and resolution skills
- Ability to gather and analyze relevant information clearly and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft-based software products including Word, Excel and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field
- 3+ years business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Previous experience in the securities or banking industry
- Ability to integrate Excel Access databases into daily work
