Job Summary
Dispatch and coordinate freight operations as an Operations Specialist (Dispatcher), planning and scheduling drivers for deliveries and pickups, communicating with clients and drivers, and ensuring timely, safe shipments. Responsibilities include routing adjustments, maintaining records of dispatch activities, monitoring fleet location (ELD), handling changes to delivery times, producing invoices and settlement sheets, and supporting port-related tasks such as inbound/outbound PINs and container status. Requires strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, proficiency with Excel/accounting systems, and clear, professional communication with customers and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/G.E.D. required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- 1-2 years combined related experience.
- Solid Excel and accounting system skills; high accuracy and confidentiality.
