Job Summary
Operate in agronomy/grain/feeds departments; perform pick-up/delivery of fertilizer equipment, tanks, and feed; handle grain through unloading/loading, grain handling, and elevator maintenance; maintain quality and safety compliance; provide outstanding customer service and teamwork; requires ability to operate and maintain elevator machinery and obtain a 7B fumigation license; physical duties include lifting up to 100 lbs and climbing ladders; climate-controlled office and outdoor work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Ability to gain operational knowledge of all machinery in elevator and operate safely
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 7B Fumigation License
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Handle incoming grain by unloading trucks and weigh/test grain as needed
- Load fertilizer into customer vehicles or deliver as directed
- Observe OSHA/state/federal safety regulations
- Maintain equipment and facilities per manufacturer specs and MKC maintenance program
- Assist other locations/departments as requested
- Maintain positive image and provide outstanding customer service
- Extensive physical work including lifting up to 100 pounds and climbing ladders
- Experience with grain handling and safety in elevator environment
