Job Summary
Operations Senior Supervisor — Lloydminster refinery site leading a high-performing team of operators to meet daily/weekly production targets, overseeing control of work (LOTO, isolation plans, abnormal conditions), and coordinating start-ups/shutdowns and process recovery. Drives safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement; manages shift handovers, logbooks, timesheets, staffing coverage, and safety/operational meetings; mentors staff, ensures training/competency, and coordinates emergency preparedness (ERT activation) with cross-functional teams to optimize energy efficiency and plant performance.
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Minimum 10 years of Operations experience, including at least 5 years in a refinery or related industrial environment
- Minimum 3rd Class Power Engineering certification or related engineering degree required
- Previous leadership experience in a refinery or petrochemical setting preferred
- Working knowledge of union agreements and labor relations practices considered an asset
- Strong understanding of process flow diagrams and refinery systems
- Demonstrated problem-solving and sound decision-making abilities in complex operational environments
- Safety management systems knowledge and regulatory requirements understanding
- Willingness to support safety sensitive work
- Possession of Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments required
