Job Summary
Manage fleet operations by ensuring vehicle registration, emissions, and GADOT requirements are current while implementing telematics software and monitoring safe, efficient use of all equipment. Diagnose, schedule, and complete routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs for vehicles, trailers, and related assets, then triage repairs, breakdowns, and tows as needed. Oversee water meter acquisitions, small engine maintenance, weekly tool inventory, and the maintenance of a clean, safe operational space. Keep a balanced budget and manage program spending while overseeing groundskeeping, landscaping, and vendor contracts for facility repairs. Facilitate driver and equipment training classes for staff and serve as the primary point for troubleshooting equipment issues.
Required Qualifications
- 3 - 4 years relevant work experience
- Valid Georgia Driver's License with 3-year clean history
- GA Pesticide Applicator's License, or obtain within 3 months of hire
- CPR/First Aid certified, or obtain within 3 months of hire
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment that requires repetitive bending, lifting, and shoveling
- Ability to work some Saturdays a few times a year/as needed
- Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must pass drug screening
- Eligible drivers must pass a DOT physical
Desired Qualifications
- Fleet management experience including basic maintenance and diagnostics abilities
- OSHA 10 Certification, or obtain within 3 months
- Skid steer certification
- Small engine equipment repair certification
