Operations Safety Lead

Job Summary
Implement and oversee safety programs and initiatives across operations, identifying hazards and driving compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to recommend corrective actions, while investigating accidents and incidents to prevent recurrence. Develop safety policies, lead training sessions, and interview associates on program knowledge to foster a culture of safety. Collaborate with management to establish goals and monitor progress, serving as a resource for safety-related inquiries. Work Monday through Friday 4:00pm-2:00am with Saturday as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field
- Experience in a poultry processing/manufacturing environment
- Ability to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces
- Ability to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs by reaching, bending, and pushing boxes
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required
- May work in an environment with varying temperatures between 25 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- May handle products varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db
- Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm

- High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required
