Operations Research Engineer

Job Summary
Operations Research Engineers design, develop, and apply advanced mathematical models, simulation and optimization frameworks to drive manufacturing and supply chain improvements. They identify and solve complex problems across factory performance, production loading, equipment optimization, decision science, and supply/distribution network operations, leveraging fabrication and assembly/test environments with broad supply chain expertise. Responsibilities include building and deploying mathematically-based decision algorithms, heuristics, optimization models, and simulation tools, collaborating with business units to define requirements, and implementing solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and supply chain performance. Qualifications include a Master’s degree and 2-7 years in programming (C#) and commercial optimization/constraint programming tools (e.g., ILOG CPLEX, Gurobi, Autosched), plus SQL Server experience and a strong foundation in OR methods (Linear/Integer/Constraint Programming). Preferred: semiconductor manufacturing experience, discrete-event simulation, and related optimization techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Science, or related technical discipline
- 2-7 years of experience with programming proficiency in C# and experience with optimization/constraint programming tools (ILOG CPLEX, Gurobi, Autosched)
- Database management experience including SQL Server
- Foundation in OR methodologies, Linear Programming, Integer Programming, and Constraint Programming
