Job Summary
Champion the Ops Excellence Culture and program by training, coaching, and reinforcing continuous improvement principles with leaders, partners, and team members. Lead efforts in improving cost and quality initiatives by utilizing Six Sigma tools and executing lean and DMAIC problem-solving projects that positively impact plant KPIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational opportunities, establish and audit process controls, and ensure compliance with food safety plans and government regulations. Analyze plant-level metrics to drive critical processes and KPIs while facilitating team-based training and standardizing equipment and processes. This 100% on-site role at the Smithfield, Utah manufacturing facility requires an ASQ Green Belt certification and 3+ years of engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Relevant technical experience of 6+ years may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- 3+ years experience in engineering, technical or related area
- ASQ Green Belt Certification Required
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance (at least state minimum)
- Acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion
- Vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position
- Authorization to work in the country in which the role is based
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ Black Belt Certification Preferred
- DFSS knowledge or experience preferred
- High Volume continuous process flow experience, including experimental design
- Ability to collect and interpret line information and data
- Statistical results and financial impact analysis
- Proficiency in MS Windows, Minitab, MS Office
- Ability to facilitate team-based training
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Basic understanding of organizational logistics, inventory, network, supply chain, quality, safety
