Job Summary
Plant Manager for Wabtec Railway Electronics (WRE) in Germantown, MD responsible for the manufacturing of onboard electronic equipment and sub-systems, leading the site’s global supply chain and facilities leadership team, and driving continuous improvement focused on EHS, site compliance, quality, reliability, customer on-time delivery, functional cost, inventory, and culture. Lead lean, 5S, and CI initiatives; ensure financial controllership for work-order transactions and inventory; develop site strategy and resource alignment; collaborate with engineering, product and project management to reduce product cost; foster accountability and a culture of operational excellence across exempt and hourly workforces; ensure alignment with policies, regulations, and customer requirements; build capacity and contingency plans for demand changes; provide leadership and career development support for the plant team; salary range currently $104,800–$149,830.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Plant Management role and/or large Operations Supervisory role/or equivalent operational experience
