Job Summary
Operations Planning and Performance Advisor supporting the NYC DEP Bureau of Customer Services – Metering Operations. Responsible for analytical and operational support to the Executive Director of Metering Operations; assisting with work planning, inventory tracking, procurement support, contract documentation, and overtime monitoring. Develop reports, summaries, and dashboards for management review; track procurement actions; assemble contract documentation; oversee inventory and stock usage trends; monitor overtime patterns; coordinate project timelines; maintain trackers; and draft internal communications and documentation. Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills with experience in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel) and familiarity with procurement processes. 35 hours per week in Corona, NY office. The role requires coordination across units and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1) A master’s degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field, and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of: budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal management; management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management; 18 months of this experience must have been in executive/ managerial/ administrative or supervisory capacity.
- 2) A bachelor's degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience in the areas described above, including the 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory experience.
