Job Summary

Coordinate vessel product imports, domestic transfers, and deliveries while managing internal tank transfers, blending, and certification for road tanker loading. Prepare daily plans for tank operations, issue laboratory test requests, and monitor finished product testing to ensure on-time delivery and full quantities. As backup to the Stocks Officer, generate daily, weekly, and monthly hydrocarbon reconciliation reports for refinery storage inventories, import deliveries, and sales. Monitor stock out dates, prepare Jet A-1 batching reports, and issue daily process tickets for volume reconciliation. Attend pre-berth meetings and participate in safety audits, task risk analyses, and incident control procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years related experience in Production Planning, Process Engineering, Process Operations, Hydrocarbon Marketing Distribution, Stock Balancing, Terminal Operations or Laboratory
  • Experience must be in decision-making position, defined as the authority to define, execute, or control projects/ processes and to be responsible for the outcome
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good technical background in Refinery products, analysis of the test results and significance of tests
  • Knowledgeable of the industry product specification
  • Initiative
  • Strong communication skills to work with internal and external customers
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel for Windows and other Computer Skills as required
  • Knowledgeable on various techniques on data analysis
  • Overall positive approach to work and great attitude
  • Familiar with Refinery, Stock Balancing, Downstream and other Puma Energy Business Units processes
  • Cooperating with the Company to enable compliance with any duty imposed upon them by law
  • Using properly and effectively equipment designed to safeguard his / her well being
  • Being aware of factors or situations that may impact upon the quality of the product and service and the environment
  • Following implicitly the Company's Health, Safety & Environment Policy / Procedures / Work Instructions as communicated in writing or as instructions received orally
  • Comply with the Company's procedures and the relevant legislation regarding the Injury Management process
  • To formally report to their Manager any concern or incident / injury / non-conformance in any aspect of their work and complete the PE PNG Incident / Non Conformance Report form
  • To formally report to their Manager or supervisor any hazard, practice or condition that will affect safety or production or the community
  • All products are to be verified at appropriate stages as outlined procedures and a record maintained
  • Report all injuries and hazards to immediate supervising staff
  • Know and uphold the Puma Energy International (PEI) Safety Policy and the PE PNG HSEQ Policies
