Job Summary
Transport Planner responsible for receiving customer orders and creating road transport plans, liaising with 3rd party transport suppliers, assisting in negotiating rates, planning orders for large-scale UK contracts, building and maintaining relationships with transport providers and customers, and ensuring financial and service requirements of contracts are achieved. Delivers added-value to the customer through innovative project work. Requires previous transport planning experience, preferably in FMCG, with strong attention to detail, excellent communication, teamwork, and proficiency in Word & Excel. Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week, based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Transport Planning experience
- Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong PC Literacy including Word & Excel in a business capacity
