Job Summary
Lead and manage compliance, governance, and safety management activities across Operations Delivery, overseeing internal and external audits to ensure regulatory requirements are met. Facilitate safety forums, governance meetings, and stakeholder discussions to drive accountability, while partnering with leaders across Jetstar and the Qantas Group to manage risk and improve performance. Deliver meaningful reporting and insights that support business decision-making, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and leverage technology for enhanced operational outcomes. Build a proactive safety and compliance culture and act as a trusted subject matter expert on operational performance matters. This hybrid role at Jetstar Head Office in Docklands is a 15-month fixed-term opportunity for a candidate with proven experience in safety, compliance, and risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in safety, compliance, governance, audit or risk management environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with confidence facilitating meetings and presenting complex information
- Experience leading audits, investigations, compliance reviews or governance activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance detail and strategic thinking
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and finding smarter ways of working
- Safety-first mindset with a strong understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory requirements
