Job Summary
Independent contractor Operations Partner responsible for transporting, deploying, and maintaining Bird's e-scooter/e-bike fleet in Vernon, BC. Manage fleet movements and charging logistics, retrieve and deploy vehicles, perform light field checks to ensure safety and environmental friendliness, and oversee end-to-end operations of the assigned portfolio. Must have access to a suitable large vehicle (van/truck) and a charging facility, with a Class 5 (or equivalent) license, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a flexible weekend schedule. This pay-per-task role offers earnings tied to output, with an hourly rate range of $20-$30.
Required Qualifications
- Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes.
- Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for overnight charging.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; capable of stooping, bending, walking, and standing for long periods.
- Flexible schedule with willingness to regularly operate on weekends.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet.
- Strong knowledge of Vernon’s local geography.
