Job Summary
Independent contractor role in Vaughan, ON responsible for fleet transportation and end-to-end operations of Bird’s e-scooter/e-bike portfolio. Manage charging, deployment, relocation, and retrieval across Vaughan daily; perform light field checks to ensure safety and environmental standards; leverage own vehicle(s) and storage space for overnight charging; coordinate with Bird’s fleet operations while maintaining a flexible schedule including weekends; must hold a valid Class 5 (or equivalent) license with a clean driving record and be physically capable of handling equipment; strong local knowledge of Vaughan and comfort with mobile tools are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck)
- Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods
- Flexible schedule with willingness to regularly operate on weekends
- Tech-savvy; comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
- Strong knowledge of Vaughan's local geography
