Job Summary
Independent contractor role to manage Raleigh fleet of Bird e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring vehicles are charged, safe, and positioned to meet local transportation needs. You’ll operate your own vehicle or fleet, may secure a space for overnight charging, and can scale your partnership from a single van to multiple drivers. Responsibilities include fleet transportation, end-to-end operational management of your portfolio, light maintenance checks, and real-time problem-solving to optimize deployment and routing in Raleigh.
Required Qualifications
- Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
- Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for overnight charging
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; capable of stooping, bending, walking, standing for long periods while handling heavy equipment
- Flexible schedule with willingness to regularly operate on weekends
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
- Strong knowledge of Raleigh's local geography
