Job Summary
Independent contractor Operations Partner in Providence, RI responsible for the logistics of Bird's local e-scooter/e-bike fleet. Manage fleet transport, charging routines, and deployment to meet community transportation needs. You can operate solo or as a fleet owner, with options to secure a charged-vehicle facility or use the central Bird warehouse. Pay-per-task model with earnings between $20-$30 per hour. Responsibilities include fleet transportation, retrieving, charging, deploying, end-to-end operational management, maintenance checks, and real-time problem solving. Must have a large-vehicle access, a suitable charging/storage setup, a valid license, physical ability to lift heavy equipment, and a flexible weekend schedule. Comfortable with new mobile tools and possess strong knowledge of Providence geography.
Required Qualifications
- Vehicle Access (Required): Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes.
- Storage Space (Asset): Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for maximizing earnings.
- License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment.
- Availability: Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet.
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Providence's local geography.
