Job Summary
Independent contractor role in Mississauga, ON to manage Bird’s local fleet of e-scooters/e-bikes. Responsibilities include fleet transportation, end-to-end operational management of the assigned portfolio, and conducting light maintenance/field checks to ensure safety and environmental standards. The contractor will work with their own tools and vehicles, may operate from a garage/warehouse for overnight charging, and must be available on weekends with a flexible schedule. Must have access to a large vehicle (van/truck), hold a valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s license, and be comfortable using new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet. Local geographic knowledge of Mississauga is required.
Required Qualifications
- Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
- License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; ability to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment
- Availability: Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Mississauga's local geography
