Job Summary
Independent contractor Operations Partner responsible for the local fleet of Bird e-scooters and e-bikes in Minneapolis-St Paul, including coordinating retrieval, charging, deployment, and relocation to meet demand. Role supports flexible, model-driven operations (retrieve & charge, retrieve & drop-off, or end-to-end operational management) with ownership of equipment, charging facilities, and driving responsibilities. Must have access to a suitable vehicle, a workspace for charging, and a valid commercial driver’s license, with the ability to perform field checks and navigate local geography.
Required Qualifications
- Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
- Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity (highly preferred)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; ability to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment
- Flexible schedule with willingness to regularly operate on weekends
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
- Strong local geographic knowledge of Minneapolis-St Paul
