Job Summary
Independent contractor Operations Partner in Ann Arbor, MI responsible for the local fleet logistics of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring vehicles are charged, safe, and positioned to meet community needs. You can operate solo or scale as a fleet owner with multiple drivers. Choose how you operate: secure your own charging space or work by transporting vehicles to Bird's central warehouse. Responsibilities include fleet transportation, end-to-end operational management of your portfolio, light maintenance checks, and real-time problem-solving in the field. Must have access to a large vehicle (van/truck), a storage space with electricity (preferred), a valid driver's license with clean record, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flexible weekend availability, tech-savviness with mobile fleet tools, and deep knowledge of Ann Arbor geography.
Required Qualifications
- Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
- Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for maximizing earnings
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; ability to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment
- Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
- Strong knowledge of Ann Arbor's local geography
