Job Summary
Senior Operations Officer at Shield AI responsible for driving mission outcomes through cross-functional leadership in Deployed Operations, Operational Support Group, or Fleet Asset Management. Oversees crew and asset allocation, flight range management, flight data collection and reporting, government and airworthiness submissions, and maintenance of departmental databases. Acts as the Action Officer for airworthiness and serves as a liaison between external contractors, government agencies, and Shield AI Mission Operations teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Roles include coordinating operator training events, tracking Net Promoter Scores among deployment and fleet support groups, process improvement of overseas operations, and collaborating across functions to disseminate lessons learned. Requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to travel domestically; supports multiple specialty teams with a focus on optimizing flight operations and overall organizational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years leading in a fast-paced organization
- Highly effective oral and written communications
- Operate effectively at remote work sites without direct supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience owning cross-functional improvement initiatives end-to-end
- Ability to travel domestically as needed
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
