Job Summary
Support day-to-day production across multiple lines by safely operating machinery, executing weigh-up, mixing, forming, ovens, packing, and flow wrapping tasks, and following production plans to meet operational needs. Maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards through accurate paperwork, clean-as-you-go practices, and end-of-shift deep cleaning while wearing correct PPE and reporting hazards. Take responsibility for cross-skilling, training colleagues, and providing ASH cover by stepping up or down a level as required. Work flexible shifts including 4 on/4 off or 5am to 5pm rotations within a gluten-free bakery supplying major UK retailers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in food production or manufacturing
- Experience in weigh-up
- Experience in mixing
- Experience in forming
- Experience in ovens
- Experience in packing
- Experience in flow wrap
- Confident operating machinery
- Completing operational paperwork
- Good understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Willing to become multi-skilled through structured training
- Competent in at least two specialist skill areas
- Positive, dependable, and adaptable
- Proud of high standards in cleanliness and quality
- Approachable, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
