Job Summary
Manage all facets of daily freight activity including pre-scheduling, unloading, processing, and loading to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective shipments. Oversee facility housekeeping, labor utilization, and standard operational procedures to meet budgeted productivity and ROI objectives. Develop a productive staff through recruitment, performance management, and training programs while resolving customer service problems and exceeding expectations for timeliness and quality. Actively participate in annual budgeting, capital investment planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and safety across the 24/7 operation.
Required Qualifications
- Eight years of demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience in a high volume warehouse, preferably cross dock or transloading, distribution, manufacturing or similar environment
- Prior experience with the preparation of operating budgets, capital improvement projects, cost reduction initiatives, and productivity improvement plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization
- Computer literacy with MS Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a variety of people
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

- Must be able to maintain regular and punctual attendance
