Job Summary
Manage and implement overall plant operations, including inventory control, employee scheduling, and weekly operational meetings. Direct staff activities through hiring, training, discipline, and motivation while ensuring sales and profit goals are met. Conduct regular discussions with the General Manager regarding sales and operational issues. Analyze inventory activity and oversee inside sales force performance. Identify personal and team growth opportunities and commit to continued learning on products and procedures. Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in the building materials industry
- Familiar with floor/roof truss manufacturing, truss pricing for custom, production, and multi-family projects
- Familiar with delivery and fleet operations
- Previous experience dealing with contractors
- Experience analyzing inventory activity
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
- Outgoing personality and ability to build relationships with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
