Operations Manager (Transportation)

Job Summary
Manage the transportation department by conducting driver performance evaluations, resolving personnel issues, and coordinating daily scheduling for PACE participants. Oversee a fleet of lift vans and minibuses, maintaining accurate logs for maintenance, fuel, and mileage while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and organizational policies. Participate in required IDT, family, and quality improvement meetings to address participant concerns and grievances, submitting monthly reports and managing data entry in the FileMaker system. May operate company vehicles during staffing shortages or emergencies and drive as needed to Koreatown and the LA region. Work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts including overnight trips, with occasional after-hour calls.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license
- Able to speak conversational English & Korean
- One year of experience working with the elderly
- Experience in senior care or a related human services industry
- Extensive knowledge of city streets, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and see them to completion in a timely manner
- Must possess good communication skills
- Must be computer literate and proficient with Word, Excel and database management software
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and any shift as necessary
- Must be able to travel out of town with overnight when necessary
- Be able to push 50lbs and lift 150lbs minimum
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- Experience in vehicle scheduling and dispatching
- Previous supervisory or management experience
