Job Summary
Operations Manager responsible for overseeing daily propane distribution operations across Atlantic Canada, leading front-line staff, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance (TDG, OH&S), managing scheduling, route adjustments, and performance metrics. Travel between branches and field locations throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island; on-site, field-focused leadership with regular travel and ride-alongs to ensure operational reliability and customer satisfaction. Full-time role with leadership responsibilities, budgeting/forecasting participation, and coordination with dispatch, service, and customer teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in transportation, delivery operations, HVAC service or logistics management (energy or propane industry experience is an asset)
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing or supervising frontline staff
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, TDG requirements, and fleet operations
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing operational needs
- Proficiency with computer applications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently throughout Atlantic Canada, including overnight travel as required
