Job Summary
Operations Manager for switchgear team in Surrey, BC, responsible for end-to-end ownership of the production value stream, driving operational performance, KPI management (OTD, FPY, DPU, safety, cost), and continuous improvement. Leads a cross-functional production team, applies Lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, VSM), and collaborates with Planning, Materials, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to optimize processes and resolve bottlenecks. Requires 100% in-office presence in Surrey, BC (day shift). Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in manufacturing/ops with 5+ years in a supervisory role; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; ERP/MRP experience (INFOR/Syteline a plus); strong communication and leadership capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations environments
- 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- APICS, CPIM, or other supply chain-related certification is a plus
- Proven ability to develop, coach, and manage cross-functional teams
- Data-driven problem-solving experience with KPIs and Lean tools
- Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, waste elimination, and production workflow optimization
- ERP/MRP systems experience (INFOR/Syteline a plus); Tableau; Microsoft Office
