Job Summary
The Operations Manager leads operational excellence on a manufacturing campus during the 2nd shift, driving daily operations and longer-term strategies to improve safety, quality, service, cost, associate engagement, and culture. They coach a team of 6–12 Supervisors who oversee 100–250 hourly associates, model a values-based, servant leadership approach, and apply Lean Daily Management to resolve daily issues with limited oversight. Responsibilities include Lean tools (CEDAC, DPS, Kaizen) to eliminate waste, sustaining a safety-focused culture with crisis management and OSHA/compliance, maintaining quality management systems, managing labor, capacity, and materials constraints, achieving production budget goals, and leading HR processes (hiring, development, discipline) with limited oversight. The role requires strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, talent development, and mentoring of supervisory staff to align operations with the company mission and strategic plan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a significant amount of relevant work experience
- 4+ years of operations experience (manufacturing or comparable experience)
- 2+ years of leadership experience
